Rank tracking software for travel SEO

On the go. Everywhere. People travel, and STAT follows.

STAT was designed for travel. No, really. Many of our earliest clients were online travel companies.

They played a huge role in the evolution of STAT into a rank tracking and SERP analytics service that’s perfect for travel SEO.

Today, our client roster includes some of the biggest players in travel and hospitality. They came to us largely through word-of-mouth, as in-house SEO teams across the industry look for fresher, more comprehensive insight into travel SERPs.

Big challenges, huge SERP data

The first thing that brings travel SEO teams to STAT is scale. Very simply, STAT is massive.

We built STAT with the idea that it should be cost-efficient and ridiculously simple to track thousands—even millions—of keywords in markets and locations all around the planet.

With so many points of sale, destinations, and travel products—and so many long-tail and multi-lingual searches to account for—scale is something that no travel SEO team can ignore.

In STAT, there is literally no limit on how many keywords you can track every day. And we track all across the world, in every single country and language that’s served by Google.

Track SERPs like a real local

Of course, in travel SEO, where people are searching is often just as important as which keywords they’re using.

With that reality in mind, STAT became the first rank tracking platform to introduce local SERP monitoring all across Earth. Our travel and hospitality clients are able to track pin-point local search results by city, state, province, ZIP code, postal code, neighbourhood, and more.

That includes Google Flight Search and other Google universal results like places, map, videos, images, and shopping, all of which STAT reports right alongside organic search results.

Advanced features and very easy to use.

As Google claims more and more real estate on travel SERPs for its own commercial search tools, it’s critical that the industry has an accurate understanding of the penetration of these universal results into local search queries. STAT has been tracking them from the beginning.

What about location mismatches?

More than any other industry, travel and hospitality SEO teams need to think about what happens when a search query’s geo-modification and geo-location don’t match.

The distinction can be extremely important. What happens, for example, when someone in New York is looking for [best luxury hotels in London]? Or when somebody in Vancouver, Canada is looking for cross-border deals on international flights departing from Tacoma, Washington?

STAT is built to accommodate all of these unique SERP tracking situations and allows you to segment and blend geo-modified and geo-located search queries freely. When logistics are critical, this kind of flexibility matters.

Keep tabs on all of that data

When you’re doing SERP tracking on such a large scale, great management, segmentation, and alerting is critical.

In STAT, you can tag your keywords with aany number of custom tags. These are essentially custom segments that you can use to slice and dashboard your keywords in any number of ways—for example, by departure, by destination, by hotel rating, by package type, by searcher intent, or by any other factor that’s important to your strategy.

STAT stats

$50 BILLION: annual downstream revenue of our travel clients.

15,000: cities and locations around the planet where we track SERPs.

TWO of the top four digital agencies use STAT.

There are also dynamic tags, which work much like smart playlists. They’re automatically populated with keywords based on simple, logical rules.

For example, you could create a dynamic tag that contains all of your keywords with search volume over a million or a CPC value over $5.00. As search volumes and CPC numbers are updated, the keywords within the dynamic tag will update as well.

Finally, STAT’s custom alerts can be a lifesaver for SEO teams that are tracking many thousands of keywords. Alerts can be based on any tag, keyword, or site, and are completely customizable. Since fresh search data arrives every single day in STAT, if you’re clever in setting up your alerts, you’ll always be the first to know and the first to take action when change happens on travel and hospitality SERPs.
