How do you train new clients?
We use a combination of live screencasts, phone calls, and video conferencing.

Can I talk with a real person? Or am I stuck with a call centre?
We’re actual people who work in an actual office together—we don’t use a call centre. Sometimes we go for lunch. Sometimes we grab a coffee. If we’re not in, leave a voicemail or fire off an email, and we’ll get back to you quick as a bunny.
Our office hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (PST), Monday to Friday.

We have a large team. Can you come and train us in person?
Definitely. We’ll do whatever it takes to get your team up and running, although there may be additional fees for in-person training.
Of course, we wouldn’t complain if your office is somewhere sunny and hot.

How quickly do you respond to support requests?
Generally within a couple of hours during our business day—or by the next morning if it’s after-hours.

What exactly do you mean by “client-centred evolution”?
It may sound flaky, but the basic idea is simple: you talk, we take notes, and STAT gets even better.
Our clients are some of the smartest people in SEO, and they’re out there every day researching, strategizing, experimenting, and advancing the science of SEO. So we would have to be dummies not to listen to what they have to say.
Naturally, not everything makes the cut. Some ideas are too niche, too unproven, or too outside of our development strategy. But we do weigh every single suggestion.

What about professional certifications for STAT? How can I get one?
Sorry, there’s no such thing! The reason you’ve never heard of anything like a “STAT Certified Level 1 Professional” is that anyone in SEO can master STAT pretty quickly. No certifications needed.

How much does custom reporting and analytics cost?
We do custom reporting all the time for our clients, though there is an additional fee. And some kinds of analysis may be too far outside of our core service. Just talk to us if you have something specific in mind.

How do your contracts work? Is there a setup fee?
We usually recommend starting with a month-to-month agreement to make sure that STAT is a perfect fit for you. There’s a $600 setup fee, which covers migration assistance and as much training for your team as you’d like.
We also do annual agreements with zero setup fee. If you switch to annual from a month-to-month agreement, we’ll even credit you for the setup fee you’ve already paid. It’s totally up to you.

Which web browsers do you support?
We have active development support for all recent versions of Chrome and Firefox for Windows and OS X, as well as Safari for OS X.
Most other standards-compliant desktop browsers play perfectly nice with the STAT web app.

I hate lock-in. What happens to my data if I decide to leave STAT?
We hate lock-in too. Your data always belongs to you, and you’re free to export it from the web app or through the API for as long as you’re a client. We’ll even help you do so if you need a hand.
We don’t believe in putting up artificial roadblocks. If our product is a good match for you, and if you love our service, then we don’t have to worry about losing you.
