Superman has the Fortress of Solitude. Batman has the Batcave. And soon, STAT will have a brand new, not-so-secret headquarters to call our own.
Yep, we’ve outgrown our current home at 119 West Pender Street (the only home we’ve ever really known) and will soon be moving across town to a big, bright new space.
We won’t be calling the moving trucks until *fingers crossed* sometime in the spring, so right now we’re working on customizing the space to our liking. We’re basically Picasso standing before a blank canvas.
Bringing up the house
Look at all that construction. Yep, this thing is getting real!
Of course, we were heart-eyes for the space even before we signed on the dotted line. It’s light and airy and embraces the distinct, industrial feel of the neighbourhood. Just a hop, skip, and a jump east of our current Gastown location, Railtown is an up-and-coming spot.
Mostly known as a hub of freight train and freighter activity, the Railtown scene also houses a number of art and design studios, tech startups, and choice eateries – all blending magically together with the warehouses and Edwardian-era homes that line its streets.
We can’t wait to be a part of that.
Get the party started
We’re also excited by the untapped potential in our own space. And by that we mean beer and wine taps! The new office has a mezzanine where we’ll host events for SEOs, coders, artists of all stripes – you name it.
Until then, the place is a hive of construction crews hammering away. In the end, expect to see more than just a pretty space; our new lair will be a place to blow up our creativity, store our costumes, and build all sorts of newfangled features in STAT.
